Welcome to our Fans Guide to the upcoming World Twenty20 World Cup 2009 which takes in June 2009.
Twenty 20 Cricket is the newest format of cricket and it is taking the world by storm, the hugely successul Twenty20 Cup in the English County Cricket Season plays out to full houses, and the Indian Premier League ( IPL) has attracted the world’s top players and millions of corporate dollars, to enable cricketers to be paid footballers wages.

The ICC World Cup 20/20 tournament will be hosted in England and played at 3 grounds Trent Bridge Nottingham, and The Oval and Lords in the UK. Every Test playing nation will be represented along with 3 ICC qualifiers. The full list of nations competing for the Twenty20 World Cup are as follows
India , Bangladesh , Ireland , Pakistan , England , Holland , Australia , Sri Lanka , West Indies
New Zealand , South Africa , and Scotland.

This is the 2nd World Twenty20 tournament the first was won by India who beat Pakistan in the final in 2007.
2 matches will be played at each ground, giving fans the chance to see 4 nations and excellent value for money. The Semi Final Days will be hosted at Twent Bridge and the oval, and the final day will be hosted at Lords.
